About me

I am an undergraduate in International Law at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam. My areas of interest are International Human Rights Law, International Humanitarian Law, and International Criminal Law.

It pains me to witness the daily suffering of vulnerable civilians in conflicts. Inspired by John Galtung’s idea that peace goes beyond the absence of war, I aim to use my knowledge to support marginalized people in the world.

I believe that free speech, empathy, respect for differences, and awareness of social norms are key to breaking stereotypes and empowering positive change. To this end, I have been hosting many events that provide quality debate education to underprivileged students across Vietnam. I have worked in the field of critical thinking, public speaking and debate education for more than 5 years, serving as a coach and a lifelong debater.

Debate Tournaments

In my 5-year debating journey, I have initiated over 80 debate events nationwide, fostering a culture of free speech and sharpening youth's critical thinking and negotiation prowess. I have had the chance to collaborate with esteemed partners, from QTV to VTV, and various Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Ministries of Education in the region to amplify the impact. Debate tournaments attract thousands of participants due to their healthy competitiveness and learning culture.

Debate Workshops

In addition to debate tournaments, debate workshops are an integral part. These workshops not only teach fundamental debating skills but also delve into pressing social issues, providing strategies for navigating discussions and proposing solutions. I have been privileged to speak at numerous schools and universities nationwide, aiming to make debate education more accessible to Vietnam's youth. All workshops and events are non-profit and hosted with diligence and professionalism.

Debate for Change

Beyond its role as a competitive sport, I see debate as a catalyst for change. It empowers individuals to speak up against injustice and advocate for equality. Debate helps people to better discuss interdisciplinary subjects, such as economic challenges, climate change, and human rights. Across diverse fields, debate fosters creativity, personal fulfillment, and social impact in professional endeavors. Therefore, I have tailored debate formats to different groups so they can better use the skills to serve their needs.
